Former CEO of MetLife joins AIG as President and CEO

He will take on these new roles from 10 August 2009, with the retirement of chairman and CEO Edward M. Liddy.
Benmosche is a former chairman, president and CEO of MetLife, a provider of insurance and other financial services. He has been a member of the board of Credit Suisse Group since 2002.
In addition AIG announced that Paula Rosput Reynolds, vice chairman and chief restructuring officer, has decided to leave the company effective from late in the third quarter of 2009.
