National Health Care Dialogue Highlights Fall National Meeting
NATIONAL HARBOR, MD. (Sept. 19, 2009) — Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to deliver remarks on health reform to members of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners on Tuesday, September 22, during the NAIC's Fall National Meeting at the Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center.
"We are pleased the Administration selected our national meeting as a venue for this important national dialogue," said NAIC President and New Hampshire Insurance Commissioner Roger Sevigny. "State insurance regulators are all too familiar with health insurance concerns and complaints. In many of our departments, at least half the consumer telephone calls we take are heath insurance-related. We look forward to working with both the Administration and Congress to help make improvements for the overall health of our nation."
Meeting registration is required and is available on site at the Gaylord's Maryland Ballroom Foyer. Registration hours are Sunday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, Monday, 7:00am - 6:30 pm and Tuesday, 7:30 am - 5:00 pm. Early arrival to the Vice President's address is recommended due to enhanced security procedures. More information about the NAIC's Fall National Meeting is available at http://www.naic.org/meetings_home.htm.
