BISP is a corruption free programme, says Farzana

Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Farzana Raja on Tuesday underlined that more than 2.2 million families have got benefit from the Program. The owner of 0.3 million will undoubtedly be a women under Wasila Haq Program, Farzana Raja said while addressing a simple but dignified ceremony at a concluding workshop on Tuesday.

Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Farzana Raja emphasized that the program has been highly acclaimed not only in Pakistan but abroad too as it is meant for needy and deserving people (women). Farzana Raja said that it is corruption free program and question of fraud of any kind does not arises.

Complete transparency in the disbursement of money to the poor is ensured under this programme so that most deserving people can benefit from it, she said. Waseela-e-Haq initiative of BISP is a major step towards self employment and welfare of the deserving people, she pointed.

BISP is a key pillar in the governments policy of rehabilitating the poor masses and getting them out of the vicious poverty cycle, she maintained. Farzana Raja informed the workshop that BISP is being appreciated all over the world for bringing women into the mainstream as it also envisages vocational training, health and accident insurance to the members of the deserving families. Later she distributed shields and certificates among the participations of the workshop.
