Keystone Insurers Group, the parent company of the Keystone Insurance and Benefits Group, has acquired the benefits division of the Synergy Insurance Group.
The transaction is expected to provide Keystone franchisees with an expanded portfolio of offerings and services.
Keystone Insurance and Benefits Group (KIBG) will provide, exclusively to franchisees and their clients, the sales, customer service and administrative functions associated with employee and individual benefits.
An expanded platform of value-added services will reportedly be offered to Keystone Insurers Group (KIG) franchisees currently engaged in the benefits arena, as well as to those wishing to add such services.
George Wynne, executive vice president of corporate development at KIG, said: "This acquisition will significantly enhance our employee and individual benefits services. It will enable Keystone's 250-plus locations in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, Indiana and Ohio to effectively compete with the largest and most sophisticated employee benefit organizations."
