It will continue expanding investment in the market and expects to make profit from 2010, Greg Otterson, CEO of RSA Insurance Group for the China region, said in an interview.
Sun Alliance on October 12 gained regulatory approval to set up a branch in Beijing. It is the first branch it established in the country after it was set up as a wholly-owned subsidiary of RSA in Shanghai in March 2008. The company focuses on property insurance, liability insurance, ocean shipping insurance, engineering insurance and etc. in China, currently. The macro economy delivered a great impact on its property insurance and the main reason is that the nation's export fell to a large extent due to the global financial crisis.
