The Bulgarian parliament on Thursday voted in favor of the resignation of the National Health Insurance Fund's leader just two months after her election to the position.
Zheni Nacheva resigned Wednesday amidst prosecutors' accusations that she provided funding to three hospitals that has gone over their budgets and financial limits.
It was the second shake-up in the Bulgarian healthcare system since March 30 when Health Minister Bozhidar Nanev resigned after prosecutors charged him with profiting on government purchases.
