NTT DATA Cranks up Investments in Shanghai Synergy Software

NTT DATA Group, one of the leading providers of IT services & solutions in Japan, has expanded its footprints to China by gearing up investments in Shanghai Synergy Software Co., Ltd., a software developer in Shanghai, making the Chinese company the first foreign-owned IT service firm in China.
After the latest capital injection, NTT DATA has taken 66.67% of the Chinese company, growing into the largest shareholder. The second-largest shareholder is Shanghai Venus Software Co., Ltd, taking 22% stakes.
NTT Data is one of the subsidiaries of NTT Group. Its offerings include consulting, systems integration and IT outsourcing, for major financial, public administration and enterprise sectors.
NTT DATA Group is engaged in the development and operation of cross-industry and shared-use network systems, including the Zengin System (Nationwide Banking Data Communications System), which handles exchanges among financial institutions across Japan.
It also provides a variety of IT services and solutions to a wide range of financial customers in the securities, life and non-life insurance fields.
