Digital Insurance Inc., an employee benefits agency specializing in insurance for small businesses and mid-sized companies, announced that Annette Bechtold, the company's senior vice president of operations, has been named as the 2010 "Employee Benefit Adviser of the Year" by Employee Benefit Adviser magazine.
According to a release, Bechtold, a 30-year veteran of the insurance industry, has been instrumental in Digital's growth and success. The company has been listed on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest growing companies for the past four years and now serves more than 20,000 business customers, totaling over 400,000 covered lives. With $920 million in premium under management, Digital celebrated its 10-year anniversary last month.
"Annette is well deserving of this award. I don't know anyone in this business as knowledgeable, hard working and dedicated to both their company and the benefits industry overall," comments Adam Bruckman, president and CEO of Digital Insurance.
"What's truly amazing about Annette is her ability to one minute be thinking big picture about our business and how to strategically move it forward, and the very next minute she's on the phone with one of our customers having a one-on-one discussion about their benefits plan and what's in their best interests," Bruckman adds. "Annette knows how to identify solutions and communicate with clients in such a way they understand and really get."
The Employee Benefit Adviser of the Year award was presented to Bechtold during the Employee Benefit Adviser Summit on September 28, which was held at Florida's Boca Raton Resort, the Company reported. The award recognizes outstanding service in the employee benefits arena, as well as an adviser's true value to his or her clients.
