March 23 - Transportation revenues and reforms continue to dominate activity on Beacon Hill this week. Massachusetts Turnpike Authority board is expected to delay a toll increase that was scheduled today on foot on March 29. Both the House and Senate to adopt the transportation reforms in the next two weeks. Legislators have also sought clarification on a little known, the schedule of tolls that could increase tolls again in four years, even if the Governor Deval Patrick 19-cent gasoline tax is implemented.
DEVAL CHAPTERS: As the first anniversary of the managed competition for auto insurance approaches, Patrick administration puts positive spin on the new plan. Insurance Commissioner Nonnie Burnes reversed the decision last week to cut a board to help drivers to be found liable for an accident. The administration has also invested in a future study to present the results of the new Geico auto insurance market is preparing to start business in the Bay State.
