All Teddy Kennedy (left) really accomplished was being born into the royal Kennedys. If we had a knighthood here in America I certainly wouldn't want him to get it, especially if he really told Irish Protestants to 'go back to Britain'. And remember, JFK refused to visit Northern Ireland when he was in Ireland, so there is a legacy of treachery against the very people who founded the Democratic Party, the Ulster-Scots.

The main reason is the cost and frequency of personal injury claims. A previous consumer investigation worked out that there was six times the likelihood of a personal injury claim following a motor accident than in most areas of GB.

There are some postcodes in GB where insurance is also very expensive -- Merseyside and areas of Manchester and Glasgow. So if we really want to reduce premiums we need to stop making so many ridiculous claims -- it's not free money, somebody pays.

Our claim culture perhaps? Insurance companies have a miserable time with us in Northern Ireland. Every lowlife here knows how easy it is to 'get a claim'. It's like a rite of passage for large sections of society. They'll buy a car or new furniture when they get their claim.
