The Highways Agency has announced it has enhanced its website that offers drivers traffic information so they can avoid delays.

In addition to this, it has launched a version of the online resource that can be accessed via mobile phones.

The group explained this edition of the website comes in a special format that works particularly well on small screens.

Commenting on both versions of the service, Highways Agency spokesperson Denise Plumpton said: "Planning your journey to avoid any congestion hotspots can take the stress out of the first day of the holiday so that everyone arrives at their destination happy."
