WebTech Wireless (TSX: WEW), a leading provider of location-based services, telematics and fleet, brought the series WT7000 Locator (TM) as the most recent addition to society's well-proven line vehicle, GPS and telematics devices for surveillance. The WT7000 Locator includes features, such as greater memory capacity and processing data, applicable to a wide range of applications of the fleet, however, the addition of an accelerometer is a feature aimed squarely at automobile and vehicle insurance market, the location where the data used and the use of telematics vehicle modeling has the potential to revolutionize the industry.

The key to differentiating WT7000 previous models and competitors' offerings include:

- Accelerometer (3-axis) for modeling the behavior of drivers, alerts and recording of accidents, and non-motion detection.

- Dedicated microprocessor and memory expanded to increase the flow of data and strengthening trip recorder, and geofence Driver ID functions.

- Embedded Bluetooth (R) for dial-up networking and hands-free voice communication to increase productivity and safety.

- High sensitivity GPS Engine instead of increasing accuracy.

- CAN Bus Controller-J1979 and J1939 support, more diagnostic trouble code collection.

- Personal Navigation Device Connectivity turn by turn navigation and two-way messaging.

Capacity building for data processing and the WT7000 Bluetooth (R) give all the functionality fleet operators a highly flexible, scalable and strengthening the platform for integration with other mobile devices. For automobile insurance companies, the integrated accelerometer offers the possibility of basing premiums on driver behavior and usage patterns, which allows highly accurate premiums and claims based on modeling the actual risks . Consumers benefit from the potentially lower premiums and claims and the costs of the technology's ability to foster a better, safer driving. An additional advantage is the ability for drivers and businesses monitor and reduce their CO2 emissions and emissions of contaminants.

Ian Povey, WebTech Wireless' Director of Product Marketing, commented: "This latest addition to our Locator Series is another step in the evolution of a platform for highly successful products, which demonstrates that WebTech Wireless remains the forefront of the industry with innovative technology that has the ability to change the business models of our customers. "

"One of the most exciting of the WT7000 is the accelerometer board, which opens the door to a wide range of automotive applications, all the implications that are just being realized," said Edward Kulperger, WebTech Sr. Director of Wireless Personal Automotive & OEM, adding: "Insurance companies are recognizing that our technology is the market leader and we are the drivers to conduct a number of major auto insurers to develop and implement this technology even further. "

The WT7000 is available in two models, the WT7000 and WT7000E (Extended), and integrates seamlessly with WebTech Wireless feature-rich Quadrant (TM) operating system. It is now available directly from WebTech Wireless or through one of its many resellers and distributors worldwide.

This new product complements WebTech Wireless completes the product range, offering yet another solution for industries that depend on the effectiveness of resource management of mobile equipment and people.
