May 15--A four-hour senior citizens driver safety program is set for 8 a.m. Wednesday in the Community Room at the Community Service Center.
This refresher program is for drivers 50 and older to refine skills and develop safe driving techniques.
By law, companies selling auto insurance in New Mexico are required to offer a premium discount to individuals who receive a certificate after completing the course. The discount is valid for three years of insurance coverage.
Pre-registration is necessary as class size is limited. Attendees should plan to arrive early to complete paperwork.
The local AARP chapter and Community Services Center sponsor the class.
Information or registration: George Lees at 742-2271.
