EDMONTON, June 1 /CNW/ - Today, Alberta's Auto Insurance Rate Board (AIRB) will post on its website (www.airb.gov.ab.ca) all written submissions regarding its annual industry-wide premium adjustment process.
Jim Rivait, Vice-President, Alberta and The North, Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC), will be available to discuss IBC's submission and related issues, including the ongoing legal battle over the province's cap on pain and suffering awards for minor injuries.
Mr. Rivait will be available for one-on-one interviews from 11:00 a.m. until noon, and again from 2:30 until 3:30. Please call in advance to schedule your interview.
Insurance Bureau of Canada is the national industry association representing Canada's private home, car and business insurers. Its member companies represent nearly 95% of the property and casualty (P&C) insurance market in Canada. The P&C industry employs over 110,000 Canadians, pays more than $6 billion in taxes to the federal and provincial governments, and has a total premium base of $38 billion.
