Moorhouse launches carrier cover

Commercial broker Moorhouse has launched a new insurance policy for haulage firms, responding to research into brokers’ needs.

Available on Moorhouses’s Xbroker quotation system, and underwritten by AXA, the policy includes comprehensive cover up to £250,000 for any single vehicle.

Also included with the policy is £75,000 cover for goods in transit, and legal costs are covered as standard.

Public liability and employers’ liability are available as optional extras.

Insurance brokers can use Xbroker to access the product, get a quotation, and issue the policy in house.

Moorhouse chairman Lyndon Wood said: “Last year we announced our hypergrowth strategy and our commitment to invest in Xbroker.

“This can only be achieved by our continual efforts to expand the product range by developing the most comprehensive and flexible products available online.

“The new hauliers product is a result of ongoing research into what our brokers need to compete in the current market and has already proved very popular.”

The haulage cover brings the number of products available on Xbroker to 15.
