In any other major parliamentary democracy where the ruling party holds 70 seats majority in the House and one hundred sixty votes in the Senate, this reform would be long gone like a letter in the mail. But before yesterday, nearly a fifty House Democrats voted against this proposed universal health insurance. This shows the limits of the exercise.

"Intrusion of the State"

Most of these "Blue Dogs," as we dubbed these Reagan Democrats heirs of a very centrist to right on the tax side, felt the project was too expensive, 900milliards over ten years, even if Obama the President had assured it will not break the massive budget deficit the United States.
