Underwriters Texas Association of Health announces the 15th

Underwriters Texas Association of Health (Tahu) will hold its 15th Annual Day on Capitol Hill, on 2 March 2009 at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Austin. The event will allow staff the opportunity to network and discuss issues with customers and other legislators.

Officers participate in a roundtable discussion featuring InThePinkTaxas.com political blogger and editor of TexasMonthly.com, Eileen Smith. Other panelists Dr. Jim Henson, the producer of the Texas Politics Project, writer Harvey Kronberg, editor and publisher of QuorumReport.com and Ross Ramsey, editor TexasWeekly.com. Panelists will discuss the current political climate as it relates to health care and provide an update on what's happening on Capitol Hill.

The officers meet to discuss future legislation, to express concerns of their customers and make their voices heard by the legislature, "said president Ron Buffum Tahu. "To better serve the consumer health insurance agents to keep up-to-date on current issues affecting their customers and the industry as a whole."

Through this event Tahu hopes that the voice of Texas officials are heard and relayed to legislators. Participants are encouraged to suggest initiatives for the 81st Legislature and to inform their representatives about what is happening in their neighborhoods.

Tahu 15th annual Day at the Capitol on Monday, March 2, from 8.30 to 1.30 pm at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Austin. The event is open to Tahu and non-members.

Reservations are strongly encouraged to be made by February 23, 2009, but the fee can be paid at the door. Continental breakfast and lunch will be served to participants. Registration for the event is $ 100 before February 23 and after is $ 130.
