McKenna Retires as Gallagher Bassett President

ITASCA, Ill.—Richard J. McKenna, president of Gallagher Bassett Services Inc., a subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., has retired from the company.
The company has begun its search for a replacement, Itasca, Ill.-based Arthur J. Gallagher said in a statement. Mr. McKenna's retirement from Gallagher Bassett was effective Tuesday.
Mr. McKenna joined Gallagher Bassett in 1976 and held a variety of management posts within the third-party property/casualty insurance administrator. Most notably, in 1994 he was named corporate vp of Arthur J. Gallagher; in 2000, he was named to lead Gallagher Bassett.
