W. R. Berkley Names Senior Vice President of Human Resources

W. R. Berkley Corp. (NYSE: WRB ) said it has named Carol J. LaPunzina as senior vice president of human resources, a new position. She will be responsible for human resource operations and personnel development for the corporation.
LaPunzina began her career with the corporation more than 11 years ago. Since 2004, she has served as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of Berkley Insurance Co., with prior oversight of human resources for several of the corporation's operating subsidiaries.
W. R. Berkley Corp. is a commercial lines writer which operates in five segments -- specialty insurance, regional property/casualty insurance, alternative markets, reinsurance and international.
