Mich. Democrats To Take Aim At Insurance Denials

Democrats in the state House plan to unveil legislation Monday that would toughen penalties against insurance companies. They say the bills also could result in the punishment of corporate leaders who encourage the wrongful denial of claims.
People with brain injuries and whistle-blowers who have worked in the insurance industry are expected to attend press conferences with legislators in Lansing, Grand Rapids, Bloomfield Hills, St. Clair Shores and Capac.
