Prudential Group expands its disability insurance operations

Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE: PRU) Group Insurance business announced today the opening of an office management services to persons with disabilities in Scottsdale, Arizona

The office is expanding its business operations for both the absence management services and short-term disability and should be operational in January 2010, said Lori High, president of Prudential Group Insurance Business.

"Opening this office in the west highlights our commitment to our products and provide disability services and our desire to improve the service we offer to our Midwest and West Coast customers," said High. "Scottsdale offers a pool of talented people suited to the needs of our transaction growth handicap.
This expansion is the result of Prudential's growing presence in the disability marketplace and will result in the hiring of approximately 50 employees. The office will be co-located with Prudential Real Estate and Relocation Services. The company currently has disability management offices in Portland, Maine and Roseland, N.J.
