AmeriHealth New Jersey Extends Pact with Robert Wood Johnson's University Medical Group

AmeriHealth New Jersey has entered a two-year contract extension with University Medical Group, the Company announced.
University Medical Group is the faculty practice group affiliated with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. It is a multi-specialty group, comprising more than 600 physicians and with expertise in more than 210 subspecialty clinical programs. Robert Wood Johnson's academic physicians provide a full range of highly specialized services for the pediatric and adult populations.
"AmeriHealth New Jersey has one of the largest and highest-quality physician networks in the state, including outstanding groups such as Robert Wood Johnson's University Medical Group," said Paul Portsmore, AmeriHealth New Jersey vice president of Health Services. "We are pleased to announce that our members will be able to continue their relationships with all providers affiliated with University Medical Group."
AmeriHealth HMO, Inc. and AmeriHealth Insurance Company of New Jersey, with offices in Mt. Laurel and Iselin, are a group of companies whose product portfolios include health insurance, workers' compensation, property and casualty insurance, and management services.
