What is Health Care?

Health Care is the prevention or treatment of illness through services provided bythe health profession.  In broad terms, health care’s main goal is to preserve both mental and physical health.
 
Health Care is typically associated with benefit packages in employment settings: i.e., social insurance that offers care through a specific network of health care professionals and services.

Home Health Care provides nursing and therapeutic services in an individual’s home. This health care can be offered through a private or publicly owned agency or organization.  Home care services include: part-time skilled nursing care; speech therapy; physical or occupational therapy; part-time services of home health aides; or help from homemakers and chore workers.
