Priority Health has expanded the coverage area for its PriorityHMOSM product throughout southern Michigan. Priority Health now serves all of Jackson, Kalamazoo, Calhoun, St. Joseph and Branch counties. In addition, Priority Health expanded its coverage area within Eaton County.

“This addition to our service area represents the fourth expansion of our provider network in less than a year and allows for broader access for our PPO and HMO products,” said Mike Koziara, vice president for Provider Network Strategy. “We are pleased with this success and look forward to making additional announcements as we continue to add quality providers to our 14,000-member provider network.”

The expansion was authorized by the Michigan Office of Financial and Insurance Regulation, which regulates health plans.

Through this expansion, Priority Health welcomes Sturgis Hospital, located in St. Joseph County, to its provider network. Community Health Center of Branch County located in Coldwater is also a Priority Health participating hospital.
