“It’s rewarding to be recognized for doing what we enjoy — providing immediate attention, efficient and excellent medical care to people with a broad spectrum of illnesses and injuries, many which are life-threatening,” said Dr. Dennis Blankenship, medical director of the emergency department at OSUMC.
“We that work in the OSUMC emergency room take pride in how quickly we are able to help those who come to us for medical care. Our average wait time is less than 15 minutes, and the total amount of time a patient spends in our emergency department averages less than two hours.”
Jan Slater, CEO of OSUMC, said the hospital was chosen for the award for exceeding industry standards when it comes to patient satisfaction.
