UNIVAL is announcing its Digital Data Direct(TM) Remote* connectivity solution. D3(TM) Remote is an interface that provides universal connectivity between any electronic systems that contain or transfer medical data such as Electronic Health Record systems (EHR), Personal Health Record systems (PHR) systems, Health Information Exchanges (http://www.unival-med.com/index.asp?nav1=products&nav2=d3remote) (HIEs), and all varieties of Registries.
"This connectivity solution increases the ROI for EHR systems," says UNIVAL President Mike Gallagher. "As more and more providers transition to electronic medical records (http://www.unival-med.com/index.asp?nav1=products&nav2=d3remote), our D3 Remote extends the reach of their electronic data. This connectivity solution is in use in several hospital, physician group, HIE, and Registry applications and we anticipate it will see continued growth in the future."
Through its universal connectivity (http://www.unival-med.com/index.asp?nav1=products&nav2=d3remote) the D3 Remote interface gives healthcare providers extra functionality above and beyond their EHR system:
Simultaneous Data Extracts - Simultaneously extract different data sets from an EHR system and migrate individual data sets to applications such as Disease Registries, Hospital EHR systems, Payers, and Local/Regional/State/National HIEs. Blended Continuity of Care Records (CCRs) - Maximize patients' quality of care by creating a CCR with combined medical data from multiple EHR systems, such as an ambulatory EHR and a Hospital Information System. Extensive Reporting - Create extensive, specialized reports that can be used for Pay-for-Performance incentives, Patient-Centered Medical Home designations, annual HEDIS reviews, etc. Adaptable for Future Needs - As electronic records become more prevalent throughout the healthcare industry different applications will be created to help providers interact with other providers, patients, and payers. D3 Remote lets the providers stay ahead of the curve by creating an interface that can be used for any future applications that may be required. UNIVAL currently has interfaces in the field for many of the major EHRs and is working to expand D3 Remote to all EMR/EHR systems (http://www.unival-med.com/index.asp?nav1=products&nav2=d3remote).
