RSA launches Claims Protect for businesses

The Claims Protect service comprises an audit to test a business' ability to manage workplace incidents and training to resolve any weaknesses identified. Existing claims data is also analyzed to determine trends, weaknesses and claims activity hotspots. This is expected to ensure that the causes of incidents are promptly and correctly recorded to avoid any false claims of liability made against the company.
According to the company, Claims Protect is designed to defend claims arising from employers and public liability and road traffic accidents. It is provided to health and safety managers, risk and insurance managers and any other staff who handle incidents or have the responsibility for managing them.
Paul Greensmith, global director of RSA, said: "Identifying an incident and reporting a claim can be a difficult process and with the continuing upward trend in the compensation culture, we have recognised that some risk managers may benefit from extra support during the claims process. Claims Protect has been designed to improve businesses' ability to defend claims, raise the skill level of incident management staff and reduce claims expenses."
