COLUMBIA, SC, March 9 / PRNewswire / - A series of free seminars designed to help Medicare beneficiaries in South Carolina with chronic illness to maintain a healthy lifestyle and learn more about the special needs Medicare Advantage plans to their needs will be offered during March at various locations in the state.
Improving care of the largest Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plan for beneficiaries with diabetes and other chronic diseases, is hosting the session, which includes advice on nutrition and fitness, a Farmers Market, and information on its 2009 plan offerings.
"Medicare Beneficiaries in South Carolina experience higher rates of chronic diseases like diabetes and heart failure, which can lead to serious complications if not properly managed," said Lisa Nelson, Director National Community information for improving care more.
