ST. PAUL, Minnesota - (BUSINESS WIRE) - March 26, 2009 - A caravan of trucks, cars and a truck loaded with food arrived at Second Harvest Heartland, 1140 Gervais Ave., St. Paul, tomorrow morning, Friday, March 27th at 9:15 am
Farmers Insurance State Executive Director Locke Pierce, joined by Senior Vice President of field operations, Jim Westerman, will lead the caravan will leave the Office of the claims of farmers in Burnsville 609 West Travelers Trail, Burnsville, Minnesota 55337, at 8:00 am They will help load the trucks and vehicles for the journey to the heart of Second Harvest, and on arrival the group will be hosted by Rob Zeaske, executive director of Second Harvest.

Pierce further explained that Second Harvest heart of Upper Midwest is the largest organization of relief, hunger, whose mission is to end hunger through community partnerships, and is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Second Harvest Heartland is the cornerstone of organizations working together to alleviate hunger in a service area county 59. This year, SHH will deliver more than 41 million pounds of food to its 1,000 + non-profit agencies and programs of member agencies, including food shelves, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, community centers and Executives of the child after school.
