HONOLULU - (BUSINESS WIRE) - March 26, 2009 - Hawaii Pacific Health and Humana (NYSE: HUM) of Hawaii, announced today that they have reached agreement on a contract that allows the Humana Medicare Advantage preferred supplier organization (PPO) members in Hawaii to receive medical care at Straub Clinic & Hospital and Kapi `olani Medical Center at Pali Momi.

Under the agreement, members of the ChoicePPO Humana Medicare Advantage plan in the network have access to all the benefits of hospitalization, outpatient and emergency services provided by the 159-bed Straub Clinic & Hospital and 116 Kapi-bed "olani Medical Center at Pali Momi.

Since 2006, Humana Medicare Advantage products in Hawaii have been deprived of service fees and terms of stand-alone Medicare drug plans. In January 2009, Humana began offering a Medicare Advantage PPO plan in Hawaii.
