Argo Pro Announces Argo PROtect for Technology Companies

CHICAGO - (Business Wire) Argo Pro, a division of Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd. (NasdaqGS: AGII), has announced Argo PROtect, a product designed to limit the exposure technology professionals face from claims arising from their service and product offerings. While Argo Pro has established itself as an insurance provider for IT professionals, this new product expands policy coverage to include broad-named perils, copyright/trademark infringement and employee theft.
“Technology professionals, as well as insurance agents and brokers, desire coverage customized to the unique operations and exposures of the IT industry,” said John Keane, president of Argo Pro. “Our new Argo PROtect professional liability product, coupled with optional general liability coverage, offers a competitive product that technology professional will find of great value.”
In addition to expanded professional liability coverage on a stand-alone basis, Argo Pro also offers general liability coverage to customers who purchase ARGO PROtect.
Argo PROtect includes coverage for:
- Failure of an insured's products or services to perform their intended function or purpose;
- Failure to prevent unauthorized access to client's network;
- Failure to prevent unauthorized use of data held within a client’s network;
- Denial of service attack or a disruption in service;
- Identity theft, or
- Inadvertently introducing malicious code into a client’s network.
Other coverage features include an expansion of the definition of insured to include independent contractors, subsidiaries, and spouses. Optional coverages include defense outside the limits, contingent bodily injury, and contingent property damage. Aggregate deductibles are available on most accounts, as well as extended reporting period options of up to five years. Coverage for employee theft is also included within a sublimit.
