Jun 25, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- The Hartford Financial Services Group has appointed Jeff Lange as regional vice president of company's Chicago regional office.

The Chicago regional office provides underwriting, sales and loss control services for the company's independent property-casualty insurance agents and their customers in the upper Midwest, including Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, as well as North and South Dakota.

In his new role, Mr Lange will lead The Hartford's agency relationships as well as small commercial, personal lines, middle market, specialty practices and life cross-sell operations in Chicago and the upper Midwest.

Rex Sprunger, senior vice president of The Hartford's central division, said: "Chicago is one of the most important markets for The Hartford, and with nearly 16 years in the industry, Jeff brings the knowledge, expertise and experience to drive profit and growth opportunities in the territory.
