Richard Booth Joins Guy Carpenter as Vice Chairman

In this role Mr. Booth will contribute to set the overall strategic direction of Guy Carpenter and will provide advice on improving operational performance. In addition, Mr. Booth will focus on developing key client relationships.
He will report to Peter Zaffino, President and CEO of Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC, and will join the company's Executive Committee.
Previously, Mr. Booth served as Vice Chairman of Transition Planning and Chief Administrative Officer at American International Group, Inc. and Chairman of Hartford Steamboiler (HSB). Mr. Booth served as President and Chief Executive Officer of HSB from 2000 to 2007. Prior to joining HSB, Mr. Booth spent 30 years in various senior insurance industry positions, including President, Chief Operating Officer, and Director of the Travelers Corporation and Executive Vice President and a director of The Phoenix Companies.
