SeaBright Insurance CFO resigns

SEATTLE_SeaBright Insurance Holdings Inc. said Tuesday that Robert P. Cuthbert resigned as the company's chief financial officer, effective immediately.

The Seattle-based insurer said in a news release that Cuthbert was leaving "to return to New York and pursue other business interests."

Philip Romney, SeaBright's principal accounting officer, will serve as acting principal financial officer until a replacement for Cuthbert can be found.

Cuthbert joined SeaBright last October, filling a vacancy left by Joseph De Vita, who died in April 2008. Cuthbert also held the titles of senior vice president and assistant secretary at SeaBright.

Shares of SeaBright closed down 13 cents at $10.13.
