American International Group Inc., up $5.66 at $32.30

The insurer named heads at two of its businesses, and media reports quoted the new CEO saying the company would pay back the government.

UBS AG, up $1.49 at $16.93

The Swiss government sold its stake in the bank for a $1.1 billion profit a day after agreeing to release data on 4,450 accounts to the IRS.

GameStop Corp., down $1.77 at $23.41

Delays in the releases of new titles forced the video game retailer to cut its outlook for the year on top of a summer of slow sales.

Dick's Sporting Goods Inc., up $1.42 at $21.69

Sales at new shops and and e-commerce sales helped boost the retailer's revenue, and it raised its profit forecast for the year.

Barnes & Noble Inc., down 69 cents at $20.26

The biotechnology company priced 21.5 million shares and warrants to buy stock, and expects to raise $30 million.

Gymboree Corp., up $4.77 at $44.87

Shares of the children's apparel retailer hit a high for the year after it posted strong profit growth and an upgrade from Oppenheimer.

Sears Holding Corp., down $8.76 at $65

Weak sales and charges for store closings and severance drove the department store to a loss, its third in six quarters.
