Kenneth Kotch Joins Ryan as Principal; Will Provide Leadership in the Firm's Federal Income Tax Practice

Ryan, the leading tax services firm in North America, with the largest transaction tax practice in the United States and Canada, today announced that Kenneth Kotch has joined the Firm as Principal. Mr. Kotch will provide leadership and expertise to support Ryan's Federal Income Tax practice, specializing in asset protection, risk management, and tax planning strategies. He will be based in the Phoenix, Arizona office.
Mr. Kotch, a licensed Arizona attorney, is a recognized tax and insurance expert, as well as an accomplished speaker and educator. He has conducted multiple Financial Planning Association (FPA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and law firm presentations; has been a guest speaker on the Financial News Network; and has authored several national publications. Mr. Kotch is a member of the Arizona Bar Association and the American Bar Association, and is also certified as a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) specialist via the University of Houston Law Center. Over the past 14 years, he has represented companies across multiple industries and jurisdictions, focusing on tax planning best practices, as well as captive insurance company structuring. Prior to joining Ryan, Mr. Kotch was Vice President for a captive insurance management company, worked in transactional tax strategy for a national accounting firm, and also served as a research analyst with the Arizona House of Representatives' Financial Institutions and Insurance Committee. Mr. Kotch has a Juris Doctor degree with an emphasis in Tax and Environmental Law from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from The University of Arizona.
