Nipponkoa To Form Risk MGT Consultancy With Zurich Insurance

Nipponkoa Insurance Co. (TSE:8754) announced Friday an operational tie-up with Swiss firm Zurich Insurance Co. in business risk management.
They will set up a joint venture next fiscal year to provide risk management consulting services for Japanese companies with operations abroad.
To this end, Nipponkoa will create an in-house unit at a subsidiary by year-end, then convert this unit into a joint venture.
The partnership will also give Nipponkoa access to Zurich Insurance's client network so that Nipponkoa will be able to underwrite insurance for Japanese businesses in regions where the Japanese firm does not operate.
