Crouch to Head Political, Security Risk Team at Broker JLT

Kelly Crouch, an experienced terrorism broker, has been named head of terrorism in the credit, political and security risk team at broker Jardine Lloyd Thompson Ltd.

Crouch comes to JLT after seven years on the risk team at broker Miller.

Nick Robson, head of credit, political and security risk at JLT, said Crouch brings valuable specialized experience.

"With terrorist activity increasing and evolving, never has the need been so great to protect assets," Robson said in a statement. "Many banks require terrorism insurance before they fund projects, while good corporate governance also demands sufficient cover. Yet many insurance policies now exclude losses arising from terrorist acts and some government-backed insurance facilities have limitations that can lead to inconsistencies in cover across different countries for international companies."
