hicago. IL. (Vocus) - As President Barack Obama gears up to hit the nationwide airwaves Sunday morning, some entrepreneurs are wondering whether he will discuss the topic of self employed health insurance (http://www.selfemployedhealthnetwork.com). SelfEmployedHealthNetwork.com discusses the items that are currently being discussed in congress and offers a means for entrepreneurs to find affordable medical insurance.
President Obama took on a series of reporters for exclusive interviews on Friday to promote his health care overhaul and a range of domestic and foreign-policy questions. The interviews were granted to ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and Spanish-language Univision. The interviews are scheduled to be aired Sunday.
Entrepreneurs across the country are wondering if President Obama was asked by reporters about how the new health care plan would affect people who needed to find health insurance for self employed (http://www.selfemployedhealthnetwork.com/planfinder.htm) individuals.
Currently, a plan proposed by Senator Max Baucus is being considered and will be voted on by a committee starting this week. Baucus said that the proposal embodies President Obama's top domestic priority but does not include a government run insurance place to compete with private insurers.
President Obama has discussed plans concerning small businesses health insurance (http://www.sbhi.net) and health insurance for self employed people but the details are still being considered by the committee. He proposed there would be a new insurance marketplace for people without insurance, entrepreneurs and small business owners can compare plans and buy insurance at competitive prices. Small businesses would receive tax credits and affordable options for covering employees and there would be a new tax credit to help individuals purchase medical insurance.
For people who are pleased with their current coverage, the Obama place proposes to strengthen it. It would end limits on insuring people with pre-existing conditions, limit premiums, prevent insurance companies from dropping coverage for sick people and cap out-of-pocket expenses. It would also eliminate extra charges for preventative care, protect Medicare for seniors and eliminate the "donut-hole" gap in prescriptions drug coverage.
