Seyfarth Shaw Welcomes Michael Zweiback as Partner in the Litigation Department in the Los Angeles Office

Seyfarth Shaw LLP, one of America's leading full-service law firms, today announced that Michael Zweiback has joined the firm's Los Angeles office. Zweiback joins as a partner in the Securities and Financial Litigation, Intellectual Property and Trade Secrets Practice Groups. Prior to joining Seyfarth Shaw, he was a partner at Alston & Bird LLP.
Zweiback's practice focuses on governmental and corporate investigation, white collar criminal defense, environmental crimes, and privacy and data security matters. Prior to Alston & Bird, he was the chief of the Cyber and Intellectual Property Crimes Section of the U.S. Attorney's Office in Los Angeles. Zweiback spent 17 years as a federal prosecutor before joining the private sector. During his tenure, he was primarily responsible for several high-profile investigations and prosecutions.

The Litigation Department covers the full spectrum of litigation services including trials and appeals in federal and state courts, in cases involving disputes over: intellectual property; real estate and construction; trade secrets and restrictive covenants; creditor's rights and bankruptcy; product liability and other torts; insurance; white collar and securities; government contracts; antitrust and trade regulation; and other types of complex business litigation.

Seyfarth Shaw opened its office in Los Angeles in 1973 with two partners from its Chicago office. It has grown both in breadth and depth since then. It now has over 100 lawyers in its offices in Century City and Downtown Los Angles with expertise in business transactions, intellectual property, commercial litigation, employee benefits, international and employment law.

Zweiback earned his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles and his J.D. from the Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. He is admitted to practice law in California.
