Three Finalists Selected for A.M. Best?s 2009 E-Fusion Award Competition; Webcasts Begin Wed., Oct. 7

A.M. Best Co. has announced the three finalists competing for the 2009 E-Fusion Award. Each week throughout the month of October, a finalist will present their company?s entry in an hour-long live Webcast, during which a panel of judges will review the entry and presentation.
Registration for the Webcasts is free online at http://www.ambest.com/efusion. Each Webcast will be hosted by Lee McDonald, Group Vice President of Communications, and Paul C. Tinnirello, Executive Vice President of Global Information Products & Services, both of the A.M. Best Co.
The 2009 E-Fusion Award finalists are:
--Capitol Insurance Companies, Cap Online Producer Functionality project: Capitol Insurance Companies has developed and implemented the ?Cap Online Producer Functionality? application. This software helps manage both traditional and non-traditional agencies, facilitate clear communications between Capitol and its agencies throughout the United States, and track detailed customer feedback and data.
--Towers Perrin, CATography: Towers Perrin?s ?CATography? is a comprehensive catastrophe exposure management system that helps insurers manage their exposure to risk with precision and evaluate how new risks will impact existing portfolios. Insurers like United Fire Group have used the system to implement a catastrophe risk and claims management strategy custom-tailored for its organization.
--Aon Risk Services, Global Risk Insight Platform (GRIP): Aon Risk Services? ?GRIP? application is a real-time platform built to track all of Aon?s placements and trading activity globally, from submission to quotes and binding. Brokers and their clients can see at what prices and with what coverages and limits carriers are quoting and binding market transactions. Analytics of the GRIP application are provided centrally through Aon?s Centre of Innovation and Analytics.
