Finance Minister Sri Mulyani hoped that the audit by the State Audit Board (BPK) of Bank Century would remove suspicions over the injection of Rp6.7 trillion in state money into the bank.
"You should no longer suspect the disbursement of the Rp6.7 trillion funds for Bank Century after the BPK has audited it," the minister said after attending a post-fasting month Halal-bihalal get-together here on Tuesday.
She said the disbursement and distribution of the funds by the Deposit Insurance Agency (LPS) to Bank Century, should be investigated should the BPK find any violation.
"If BPK finds any violation, please investigate , and track down the persons who were involved in the violation," Sri Mulyani said.
She said that all things had been arranged by the BPK so that there was no need to harbor any suspicions on the disbursement of the funds. "The government respects the law and the law on LPS has clearly regulated the matter so that there is no need to be suspicious," the minister said.
