Iran president names new acting director for Central Bank

Under a decree signed by President [Ahmadinezhad], Seyyed Hamid Purmohammadi has been appointed new acting director of [the Iranian] Central Bank.

Purmohammadi, who had previously served as the deputy economy and finance minister for banking, insurance and affairs with foreign companies, was appointed to this post in accordance with a decision of the General Assembly of the Central Bank and the presidential decree.
