ISG Offers Banks, Investors a Program for Unfinished Real Estate

Atlanta, Ga.-based Insurance Specialty Group, LLC and Pacific Wholesale Insurance Brokers have created a product that combines commercial general liability insurance, risk management and loss control with a home buyers warranty and home inspections.

The target market for this ISG Real Estate Proactive Program includes banks as well as investors involved with buying, completing and selling foreclosed residential and commercial real estate. The program covers finished residential and commercial properties as well as those properties where construction will be completed.

The program's features include ISG's proprietary model of combining general liability coverages with insured structural warranties (designed to capture claims in contract, and avoid tort), Skyetec home inspections, and risk management procedures and protocols developed over the last decade by ISG's Asset Protection Program.

According to Jim Leach, executive vice president, the new program has already achieved "early significant success with major bank clients."

ISG is the managing general agent with full underwriting authority.
