37 Insurers Expand Registered Capital by CNY19.29bn

Statistics from the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, the top Chinese insurance regulator, show that 37 insurers in the country have expanded registered capital this year and the enlarged part totaled CNY 19.29 billion. Of it, CNY 15.17 billion was by Chinese insurers and CNY 4.12 billion was by Sino-foreign insurers.
China Continent Property & Casualty Insurance Co., Ltd. (CCIC), the insurance arm of China Reinsurance (Group) Corp. (China Re), expanded registered capital by CNY 3 billion, ranking number on the tally. PICC Life Insurance Co., Ltd. and PICC Health Insurance Co., Ltd., the life insurance unit and health insurance unit of The People's Insurance Company (Group) of China Ltd., took the second and third places with expanded parts hitting CNY 2.71 billion and CNY 2 billion, each.
