Insurance Firms Lift Registered Capital by CNY19.3bn in 09

Nissay-Greatwall Life Insurance Co., Ltd. gained the regulatory approval to add its registered capital by over CNY 1 billion, the largest amount among all joint-venture insurance firms in 2009.
China Continent Property & Casualty Insurance Company Ltd. raised its registered capital by CNY 3 billion, the largest amount among all Chinese insurance firms. This helped the firm lift its registered capital to CNY 4.72 billion and the solvency to more than 260%. PICC Life Insurance Co., Ltd. saw its registered capital grow by CNY 2.708 billion, the second largest amount, followed by PICC Health Insurance Company Limited with added registered capital of CNY 2 billion.
