MONTREAL (AFP) - A Quebec in extended sick leave for depression saw him remove his insurer's benefits because she had posted on the social networking site Facebook photos that show her having fun at a show of Chippendales and holidays.

 
Nathalie Blanchard, 29 years ago left more than a year his job at IBM in Bromont, Quebec, due to a deep depression.


She said the officer's insurance company Manulife has described several photos posted on Facebook that the show enjoying himself during a performance of strip-tease Chippendales male, to celebrate his birthday or enjoy Holiday in the sun, to justify the suspension of his benefits.


I was told that "I am able to work because of Facebook," she said on the website of the CBC public television, quoting the explanation given by his insurer.


The case of Nathalie Blanchard has generated immense interest among the public, judging by the number of reviews and opinions published Saturday on the CBC website.


Manulife has declined to comment on this matter, but sent a statement to CBC to mark it did not take the decision to refuse or discontinue the payment of benefits to a customer based solely on information found on Facebook or Other social networking sites. But the company acknowledged that it used them to learn about its customers.
