The court loss by regulators in the case against director Jodee Rich over the collapse of One.Tel also highlights the issue of directors' and officers' insurance. Such a policy was held for several leading One.Tel staff, via insurer CGU and reinsurer Gerling. However, the provider has argued that misconduct such as misleading disclosure of information had voided the policy, and no payouts will be made to creditors of One.Tel. Legal action is continuing in the matter.
