Hub International Expands in Ventura County

Insurance firm Hub International Limited has acquired Ogilvy Hill Insurance, a Santa Barbara-based brokerage firm as part of Hub’s expansion into the Thousand Oaks and greater southern Ventura County area.
Ogilvy Hill is a good fit for Chicago-based Hub because both have a similar philosophy and builds on Hub’s presence in the Central Coast region, a company executive said.
“We are extremely excited to join forces with the OHI team, a brokerage with one of the best reputations in the area for quality coverage and service,” said Roy Taylor, president, West Region, of Hub.
Ogilvy Hill will become part of Hub International Insurance Services Inc. as Hub California, expanding the firm’s existing significant presence in the Santa Barbara and Thousand Oaks areas, while also adding a new office in Oxnard.
With revenues of approximately $7 million and founded in 1888, Ogilvy Hill sells commercial, personal and employee benefits products and services to businesses and individuals. The firm has developed several niche programs for various industries from card-club organizations to arborists.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
