Oklahoma Heart Institute Plays Host to Open House

Oklahoma Heart Institute treats its first patients on Wednesday, March 11, but the public has the opportunity to experience a peak inside the new, state-of-the-art hospital at a community open house Sunday, March 8 from noon to 4 pm.

OHI is on the campus of Hillcrest Medical Center at 1120 S. Utica Ave.

The open house event will feature self-guided tours of the newly constructed six-floor, 183,000 SF hospital, allowing attendees to see firsthand its patient-focused design and learn about the advanced technology and hotel-like amenities it will offer. Health professionals also will be on hand to provide equipment demonstrations, several free health screenings and tips for heart-healthy living. Refreshments will be served and a number of door prizes, including a one-hour massage and a one-year health club membership, will be given away.

OHI will be Oklahoma’s largest and advanced hospital dedicated exclusively to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.

With a capacity of 104 licensed beds, OHI is staffed by the nationally recognized physicians of Oklahoma Heart Institute and will offer a full range of cardiovascular services including a comprehensive Cardiovascular Diagnostic Center, Cardiovascular Interventional and Electrophysiology Laboratories, Pre- and Post-Cardiac Cath Lab Procedure Beds, a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Telemetry Beds, a Heart Failure CARE Center, and an Education Center.
